The Coddenham Centre isn’t just about the ‘now’, but the future.

One of the many legacies, both positive and negative, the team faced in 2019, was a largely unused bowling ‘green’.

Positive because it presented a fantastic 30m x 30m space, negative because it required difficult annual maintenance.

With the support of Community Action Suffolk’s Prohelp Scheme and architect Paul Weston we prepared and shared some plans in 2023.

Capacity has prevented us for developing further so far, but it remains a definite opportunity of the future.

The intention was/is to repurpose the space, by introducing a range of new activities including cricket wicket, boule and a possible skate area, with space for outdoor performance and seating.

One of the original outline plans is attached. We’ll of course keep you updated as to progress.
