Pickleball is having a moment – and for good reason. If you’ve been hearing the buzz but haven’t quite made it onto the court yet, now’s the perfect time to give it a go!
This fast-growing sport is often described as a cross between tennis, badminton and table tennis. Played on a smaller court with a paddle and a lightweight ball, it’s incredibly easy to pick up – even if you’ve never played a racquet sport before.
One of the best things about pickleball is how accessible it is. You don’t need loads of experience, strength, or stamina to get started. It’s gentle on the joints, but still gives you a great workout. Whether you’re looking to improve your fitness, meet new people, or simply try something a bit different, pickleball ticks all the boxes.
At The Coddenham Centre, we’re delighted to be part of the pickleball wave. Our friendly Wednesday evening sessions run from 8–9pm and are led by expert coach Carl Douglas. The sessions are welcoming, relaxed, and designed for all abilities.
Expect a fun, social atmosphere where learning happens naturally.
So if you’re curious, why not come along and see what all the fuss is about? You might just discover your new favourite way to move.
