HIIT Yoga is a unique combination of high intensity interval training (HIIT) and Yoga.
From Friday 4th September at The Coddenham Centre 10-11am
Our sessions begin with interval training, which involves working flat out for 30 seconds at a time. Exercising in this way strengthens the cardio vascular system, increases your metabolism and fat-burning mechanisms, and can trigger an afterburner effect that keeps those benefits going for 24-48 hours!
During the second part of the class we focus more on stretching, strengthening, core work and balance exercises, similar to Yoga and Pilates. These exercises build strength from the inside out and improve the mind body connection.
The session ends with breathing and relaxation exercises to cool down the body and calm the mind.
This class is suitable for beginners and fitness enthusiasts alike. Modifications are offered to accommodate all levels of fitness. Come and give it a try!
Hatha Yoga Flow Classes
From Sat 12 Sept at The Coddenham Centre 9:45-11am
Come and enjoy all of the benefits of yoga, including: increased strength and flexibility, improved balance and coordination, and a wonderful sense of calm and wellbeing. This class incorporates the physical practice of yoga, as well as meditation and pranayama (breath work).
Firstly we focus on the physical practice; finding the correct posture and strength within the poses. We then start to weave the poses together into a dynamic, flowing routine, moving with the breath. The class finishes with relaxation and meditation, allowing the body to absorb and integrate the benefits of the practice.
6 week beginners course starting on Saturday 12th September.
