We are delighted to announce we have been successful in securing funds to restore our two Tennis Courts.
Showing signs of their 20 + years popular use and poor results during recent annual cleaning, Mid Suffolk District Council’s Community Development Fund, contributed over two thirds of the £32,000 replacement surface cost, with a further third, coming from the district’s S106 funds. The latter was secured with the kind endorsement of Coddenham Parish Council.
We plan to have the work completed by the Spring, with a temporary closure of the courts from the 18th November to the 18th December. The court will then overwinter with temporary markings. On completion in 2026, we will also have the welcome addition of markings for Pickleball and local league Netball.
More details to follow!
To note, this successful initiative has been followed by the equally successful securing of Community Infrastructure Levy funds, through a collaboration by the Coddenham Centre CIO, the DayFoundation, the Gardemau Trusts, Mid Suffolk District Council and Coddenham Parish Council, to further develop and improve children’s play equipment on the Coddenham Centre Recreation Ground.
