Health & Wellbeing at The Coddenham Centre – Nearly Thirty New Walkers Take Up Our Offer.

by | Dec 20, 2019 | Community, Courses, Events, Local Events, Sport

If you are going into the New Year thinking you must get fitter, good news is at hand.

One of the commitments of the Coddenham Centre charity is to continue to support the health and well-being of the community and the surrounding areas.

In addition to a wide choice of current activities run weekly at the Centre, we are pleased to have secured the sponsorship of ‘Fit Villages’  which will help us bring even more opportunities to the Centre.

Fit Villages is a Lottery Funded Project which is run by Active Suffolk who are a not for profit organisation funded by Sport England.

27th of January

On the 27th of January at 11.45am we kicked off with a free Nordic Walking taster.

Following our sell-out first session we added a second at 1pm, same day, courtesy of Active Suffolk, however this sold out too.

We are sorry if you have been disappointed, but will be running a further seven training days in response to this popularity and details will be published as soon as possible.

Nordic walking exercises up to 90% of your body and is accessible to all ages and levels of fitness. It’s fun, as demanding as you want it (or not) and if we have enough support, we’ll be looking to launch a four-month development programme. With a range of ‘circuits’ right on your doorstep, it’s a perfect exercise, even if its confined to our playing field!
Walking poles are provided.

You’ll be led by professional guide, Kevin Marshall from Nordic Walking UK.
