The Coddenham Centre is proud to announce it has been awarded;

The Village Hall & Community Building Award for a  Community Building’s Management Committee’s Contribution to the Community.

The Suffolk Community Awards are a unique partnership between Community Action Suffolk (‘CAS’), Suffolk County Council and the Suffolk Association of Local Councils (‘SALC’).

These collaborative awards celebrate and recognise the huge contribution that groups, individuals, town and parish councils make on the overall quality of life in our communities across the length and breadth of Suffolk.

The award was presented by Keith Ward, Chairman of Community Action Suffolk and provides recognition of the positive contribution made to a community by its Village Hall or Community Building that is:

  • At the heart of its community
  • Providing a vital service accessible to all members of the community
  • Having a positive impact on the lives of the people living in that community.

This is hugely flattering, given the enormous amount of good work that goes on across the county. It’s particularly, a feather in the cap for Coddenham and all our supporters.

Apart from the welcome recognition, our thanks go to those with the vision to move the Centre at long last into charitable hands; our founding and current Trustees, the Centre team and above all, our volunteers, sponsors and customers, without whom there would be no Coddenham Centre!
